Do the following procedure to upload SP code settings from NV-RAM to an SD card.
- This data should always be uploaded to an SD card before the NV-RAM is replaced.
Make sure that the write protection of an SD card is unlocked. Do not use the SD card that formatted for forced installation.
Do not use the SD card which the firmware update file is in.
- Do SP5-992-001 (SP Text Mode) before you switch the machine off. You will need a record of the NV-RAM settings if the upload fails.
- Switch the copier main power switch off.
- Remove the SD slot cover [A].
- Insert the SD card into SD card slot [A].
- Turn on the main power switch.
- Execute SP5-824-001 (NV-RAM Data Upload), and then touch [EXECUTE].
The following files are coped to an NV-RAM folder on the SD card when the upload procedure is finished.
The file is saved to the path and the following filename:
NVRAM¥<serial number>.NV
Here is an example with Serial Number "K5000017114": NVRAM¥K5000017114.NV
In order to prevent an error during the download, be sure to mark the SD card that holds the uploaded data with the number of the machine from which the data was uploaded.
- You can upload NV-RAM data from more than one machine to the same SD card.
